Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Museum of Maqom is being created in Uzbekistan. The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution on establishment of the museum.

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the museum will be established in the city of Shakhrisabz (Kashkadarya region).

The museum will create a "gold fund" of masterpieces of classical and modern performance of maqom, collect documentary materials, videos, photos and audio materials that are dedicated to the art of poppy.
