Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, met with the Head of the Markets and Public-Private Partnership Office at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Cleo Kawawaki, and the Head of the ADB Representative Office in Uzbekistan, Mirzo Iskandar Gulomov.

According to the Ministry, the meeting focused on cooperation in the development of Uzbekistan’s digital economy.

Special attention was given to expanding public-private partnership projects, strengthening cooperation with ADB, and modernizing digital infrastructure.

The parties also discussed initiatives being implemented in the field of information technology, strategies for further development, tax incentives, and programs aimed at creating well-paid jobs for young professionals in the technology sector.

Additionally, opportunities for collaboration in supporting IT education, fostering startup initiatives, and expanding digital services across the country were considered.

Representatives of ADB were presented with projects developed by Uzinfocom, the national digital technology integrator. It was emphasized that these projects are crucial for accelerating Uzbekistan’s digital transformation.
