Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - According to the new order, the number of houses built for mortgage loans has been increased.

By the decree of the President, amendments and additions were made to some acts of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the amendments, the cost of housing for mortgage lending based on market principles will be determined annually by the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction and revised every six months.

Previously, the cost was set by the Ministry of Finance.

In 2021, the number of houses under construction on mortgage lending under the new order was increased for 2006 and amounted to 35,120.

The amount of subsidies for mortgage loans was also increased from 960.4 billion soums to 1 trillion 97 billion soums.

The maximum subsidy for the initial payment for housing in rural areas has been increased from 28 million soums to 31 million 500 thousand soums.
