Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 November, the leadership of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the XI Congress of Kazakhstan financiers, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the national currency of Kazakhstan and organized by the National Bank of Kazakhstan in Almaty.

During the event, with the participation of the leadership of a number of foreign central banks, a panel discussion was held on the topic “Monetary policy in the current conditions.”

Also during the visit, bilateral meetings were held with the Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Timur Suleimenov, with the Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Taleh Kazimov, as well as a member of the board of the Swiss National Bank Attilio Zanetti, during which ways to further strengthen cooperation were discussed, in particular the issues of holding joint events on the exchange of experience between employees of central banks.

The parameters of a memorandum of cooperation in the field of consolidated banking supervision and AML/CFT have been agreed upon with the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
