The law on the general directions of regional youth policy has been considered

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The 58th plenary session of the Senate reviewed the Law "On the Ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the General Directions of Youth Policy (Dushanbe, on 14 September 2023)."

In recent years, Uzbekistan has been implementing an effective state youth policy, ensuring the rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests of young people.

Particular attention is paid to the comprehensive socio-economic and spiritual support of youth, ensuring access to open and quality education, enhancing their creative, intellectual, and other potential, and creating sufficient conditions for their employment.

It was noted that the initiative to adopt this Agreement was proposed by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the IV consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian states, which took place on 21 July 2022, in Cholpon-Ata.

The law addresses issues such as promoting the organization of mass events involving youth, projects, youth camps, intergovernmental youth actions, seminars, discussion clubs, round tables, youth forums, and conferences on relevant youth policy issues in the region.

The adoption of the law will create opportunities for developing partnership relations among Central Asian states in the field of youth policy and will further strengthen close cooperation between the youth of the region.

The law has been approved by the senators.
