Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan Fariddin Nasriev met with the governor of the Iranian province of Kerman Mohammadmehdi Fedokor, Dunyo news agency reported.
The parties discussed issues of bringing interregional cooperation to a new level in various fields, including trade, economic, investment, tourism, cultural and humanitarian fields.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran had reached a new level thanks to the efforts of the leaders of the two countries.
The Governor of Kerman highly appreciated the potential for increasing trade, economic and investment cooperation with the support of the Kerman and Uzbek Chambers of Commerce and Industry and entrepreneurs of the regions of the two countries. The Iranian side expressed its readiness to widely use the capabilities of the province in the development of bilateral trade and economic relations.
In order to build up ties between Uzbekistan and Iran, it was proposed to organize mutual visits of representatives of the business community to the regions and hold joint art and cultural exhibitions.
