Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 August, the international Peace Trumpet Festival kicked off in Tashkent for the first time with the participation of military bands of member countries and observers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Thousands of compatriots gathered in several squares of the capital to listen to the best examples of musical works performed by military bands from different countries. In particular, on the square of the Palace of Arts "Friendship of Peoples" performed by the military band of the Republic of Belarus, on the square of the Committee for Interethnic Relations - the military band of the Russian Federation, on the square of the park "Ashkhobod" - the military band of the Republic of Tajikistan, on the square of the shopping complex "Megaplanet" - the military orchestra of the Kyrgyz Republic, in the alley "Blue Domes" - the military band of the Republic of India, on the square of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater named after Alisher Navoi - the military band of the People’s Republic of China.

Music glorifying patriotism, bravery and courage, musical works of world classics, pop and jazz music were performed at the festival, demonstrative drill performances were demonstrated.
