Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - By a presidential resolution, the Institute of National Variety Art named after Batyr Zakirov was established at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan.

This Institute is a state higher educational institution and functions as part of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan.

The institute prepares qualified specialists and scientific and pedagogical personnel of the national variety art direction.

The educational process at the institute begins in the 2021/2022 academic year, training is conducted on the basis of a state grant and a paid contract.

From the 2022/2023 academic year, the parameters of admission to the institute are formed on the basis of the parameters of the state order for admission to the university of the republic, which is approved annually in accordance with the established procedure.

Starting from the 2021/2022 academic year, the following directions and specialties will be transferred from the conservatory to the institute:

Directions of bachelor’s degree:

- Professional education: vocal art (variety performance); 

- Professional education: instrumental performance (variety instruments); 

- Conducting: conducting a variety orchestra;

- Vocal art: variety performance;

- Instrumental performance: variety instruments;

- Technogenic art: musical sound engineering.

Master’s specialties:

- Vocal art: variety performance;

- Instrumental performance: variety instruments.

Also, from the 2022/2023 academic year, the following areas and specialties will be opened at the Institute:

Directions of undergraduate education:

- Composer art

- Art Studies: Musicology

- Master’s degree specialties:

- Sound engineering: musical sound engineering

- Musical art

Graduates of the institute are issued a state diploma, which is recognized as a document of higher education.
