The hijacker detained in hot pursuit

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 February, at 14.50, the police received a message that an unknown person had stolen a key from the pocket of the car owner and hijacked his Cobalt car parked down the street Farobiy in Almazar district of Tashkent.

According to this fact, a criminal case was initiated under part 1 of Article 267 (“Theft of a vehicle”) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The plan “Interception” was announced, as a result of which the police officers stopped the car in the territory of Mirzo-Ulugbek district.

The man, who was driving the Cobalt tried to escape, but he was detained by officers of the police and the National Guard. The 26-year-old native of Ferghana region Bakhtiyorzhon K., who had been repeatedly convicted earlier, was detained.

He stole a car key from a cafe, using the fact that the victim, who was sitting with his back, hung his jacket on a chair and did not see what was going on behind him.
