The head of the State Committee for Tourism meets with the leaders of large trade unions and leading tour operators of Belarus

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting of the State Committee for Tourism Chairman Abdulaziz Akkulov with the heads of trade unions of large enterprises and leading tour operators of Belarus was held in Minsk.

Within the framework of the Forum of Regions of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan in Minsk, a meeting was held in the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Development of Tourism Abdulaziz Akkulov with the heads of trade unions of large enterprises and leading tour operators of Belarus.

At the meeting, for the participants of the event, a presentation of the tourism potential of Uzbekistan with information on innovations in the field of smart tourism, as well as travel packages of local tour operators, was held.

In his speech, the head of the State Committee for Tourism Akkulov noted the untapped potential and opportunities between the two countries in the field of tourism and urged participants to actively cooperate in this industry.

In turn, the head of the National Tourism Organization A. Molchan in his speech noted great prospects in the development of cooperation between the two countries and emphasized the importance of such events. In addition, he informed the participants of the event about the growth of trade in services in the tourism industry with Uzbekistan in 2018 through trade union organizations by 40%. Also, A. Molchan suggested creating an industrial tourism destination based on Belarusian experience, which would increase the number of tourists and additionally advertise manufactured goods.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached with the general director of Belarus Tourist on the formation in October of this year of the first group of 25 people for travel to Uzbekistan.
