The grand opening of the new base of the cycle track takes place in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent base of the cycle track in recent years required major repairs, as the conditions for training were not the best. Thanks to the attention given by our government, the base has been overhauled by modern standards.

The day the new facility was commissioned coincided with the start of the Uzbekistan cycle track championship and official approval, that our cycling athlete Murojon Halmuratov was awarded a license for the Tokyo Olympics. Of course, such a series of holidays pleased sports representatives very much.

The opening ceremony of the cycle track base was attended by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the head of the Cycling Federation Tanzila Narbaeva, the President of the National Olympic Committee Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Dilmurod Nabiev, the executive officer of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Sultonov, coordinator-ambassador of the organization for Security and European cooperation in Uzbekistan, John McGregor, and British Specialist Peter Bonfield.

At the beginning of the event, the opening ceremony of the base was held, then on the territory of the new building, those present planted one seedling in order to contribute to the environment. The new sports base was reconstructed to modern standards, it has a training room, a buffet and a relaxation room for athletes.

“Such a sports facility was built in Namangan region. It is planned to build a modern training center in Samarkand. In general, we want to create such new bases in each region of Uzbekistan. This, of course, will assist in the process of educating the champions of Asia and the World, the winners of the Olympics. We have a lot of talented guys, the main thing is to provide conditions for training and support them,” Tanzila Narbaeva said.

Another noteworthy award of the Tokyo Olympics licensee Murojon Halmuratov, was a real motivation for the younger generation. During the event, Murojon Khaliuratov was awarded 100 million, and his trainer 50 million soums. We remind you that this is the second license won for Tokyo - 2020 in cycling. The first ticket in this direction was won by Olga Zabelinskaya.

During the celebration, winners and prize-winners of the Uzbekistan cycle track championship were also awarded.
