Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An extraordinary General Assembly of the National Paralympic Association of Uzbekistan was held on the ZOOM platform.

The event was attended by the President of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, the chairman of the National Paralympic Association of Uzbekistan Mukhtorkhon Tashkhodjaev, the leadership of the association, staff of the apparatus, representatives of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent, responsible persons and trainers, the NOC reports.

The first speaker was the chairman of the National Paralympic Association of Uzbekistan, Mukhtorkhon Tashhodjaev, and opened an online meeting. The main task on the agenda was the election of the deputy chairman of the National Paralympic Association of Uzbekistan. Muminjanov Sharipjan Fuzailovich was nominated for this post. The participants in the Assembly unanimously supported the candidacy of Muminjanov Sharipjan Fuzailovich and he was elected deputy chairman of the National Paralympic Association of Uzbekistan.

Next, the President of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov spoke. He praised the work of the Paralympic Association and emphasized the need to continue to fulfill the tasks diligently and in a timely manner. Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov also said that a comprehensive plan is being developed to further develop and popularize Paralympic sports in our country, and any suggestions and comments on this issue will be considered.
