Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 28 to 30 May, the investment forum “Gulf Countries-Central Asia” was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The investment forum was attended by leaders of governments, businesses and international organizations, as well as authoritative experts.
The forum discussed ways to strengthen economic ties in various fields and develop investment ties between the Gulf states and the Central Asian region in order to achieve mutual prosperity.
First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mamanbiy Omarov took part in the panel session of the forum on infrastructure issues.
Mamanbiy Omarov informed the forum participants in detail about existing opportunities in the field of transport and logistics in our country, as well as about ongoing reforms, achieved results and promising projects.
First Deputy Minister of Transport Mamanbiy Omarov emphasized that the deep roots of historical and cultural ties between the Arab states of the Persian Gulf and the countries of Central Asia today serve as the basis for increasing trade volumes and strengthening partnerships, as well as developing strategic investment dialogue.
The moderator of the panel session A. Motkin and foreign experts recognized that Uzbekistan’s achievements in this area serve as a kind of bridge in the further development of relations between the Arab states of the Persian Gulf and the countries of Central Asia, while transformation processes in the field of logistics are currently underway in neighboring countries.
