The museum is opened in the mausoleum of Amir Temur. Its peculiarity is that visitors here have the opportunity to obtain additional information about the exhibit and the mausoleum with modern interactive methods.

The project was implemented at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. During his visit to Samarkand, in January 2019, the head of state was presented this system, which he later proposed to introduce in all major historical monuments of the country.

On site, there is a special audio guide for ten exhibits in five languages - Russian, Uzbek, English, French and Korean.

Visitors can use their own smartphone while visiting the museum - listen to the audio guide, get information about the exhibit by pointing the camera of the phone at the object of the exhibition. Also, video fragments from historical chronicles were created to convey to the visitor a historical atmosphere.
