Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 27 April 2022, the National Agency for Advanced Projects establishes a special regulatory regime in the field of circulation of crypto-assets (Special regime of "regulatory sandboxes"), which envisages the creation of special organizational and legal conditions for legal entities implementing technologies in the field of crypto-assets circulation.

On 28 April 2023, in accordance with the Regulations on the procedure for registering participants in the Special Regulatory Regime in the Sphere of Crypto Assets Circulation, the Agency registered the first participant in the Special Regime, which became United Integrator - UZINFOCOM LLC ".

The pilot project implemented under the Special Regime provides for the introduction of NFT-certificates based on distributed data registry technology (“blockchain”) for names in the “.UZ” domain zone.

As part of the pilot project, a system for issuing certificates for domain name holders using non-fungible tokens (“NFT”) based on a distributed data registry (“blockchain”) will be tested by applying the “Proof of Authority” consensus algorithm.

NFTs generated during the creation of certificates will be a confirmation of the ownership of a name in the ".UZ" domain zone.

The introduction of this technology is aimed at strengthening the protection and guaranteeing the rights of domain name owners, ensuring greater transparency and reliability of data about them.
