The first International Gastronomic Festival starts in Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 7 October 2022, the International Gastronomic Festival kicked off in Samarkand, where delicious food and festive performances await visitors. Also within the framework of the festival there is a kind of competition among catering establishments and chefs. And chefs from foreign countries will show a master class show for visitors to the event.

Food is of great importance in our life. Each person has different tastes and preferences. Culinary festivals are held all over the world. They gather thousands of tourists who want to try gastronomic delights and learn the secrets of their preparation. The best chefs consider it an honor to become participants in such events and present their creations to guests.

Guests from foreign countries are - Hani Zeyn Mohammed, Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Arabian Chef Development Society, Certified Master Chef of the World Association of Chefs’ Society (WACS), International Judge , accredited by WACS, Nikolai Andreevich Baratov - recognized barbecue expert, international culinary judge, honorary member of the National Chefs Guild of Russia and many foreign professional associations, Sharipov Shukhrat - Chairman of the Kyrgyz Chefs Association, international culinary judge.

Teams of chefs from foreign countries and each region of the Republic of Uzbekistan, chefs of public catering establishments serving tourists from foreign countries can participate in the festival. The purpose of the festival is to widely popularize the gastronomic potential of the country, promote international cooperation in the direction of gastronomic tourism, increase the tourist flow by popularizing national culinary traditions.

The competition will be attended by teams of chefs from foreign countries and each region of the Republic of Uzbekistan, chefs of public catering establishments serving tourists from foreign countries. By the end of the festival, the jury will evaluate the prepared dishes and determine the most experienced chefs who will be awarded valuable prizes.
