The first 15 volumes of “Monuments of Uzbek Folk Art” published

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The publishing and printing creative house named after Gafur Ghulam, part of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, published the first 15 volumes of the 100-volume publication “Monuments of Uzbek Folk Art”.

This project started in 2015. A magnificent series of books includes completed samples of Uzbek folklore.

In 59 volumes of the series dastans will be published, in 10 - folk songs, in 12 - fairy tales, in the rest - works of such genres as terma, legends, proverbs, sayings, riddles, jokes, jokes and others.

The main goal of the 100-volume edition is to preserve the rich cultural heritage transmitted from generation to generation for centuries, capturing it in writing and saving it for posterity. This will give hope that our people, especially future generations, will know and honor our historical values, which are the foundation of deep spirituality.

Some dastans, and many of them, will be presented to the reader for the first time. Currently, active work is underway to prepare the following volumes. By the end of this year, another 5 books are planned to be released. Thus, 20 volumes of the collection “Monuments of Uzbek Folk Art” will be available to the general public.
