Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The film “Tutqunlik” (“Captivity”) of Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency, directed by Rashid Malikov, became the winner of the Grand Prix of the competition of feature films of the International Film Festival “Volokolamsk Frontier”.
The film is based on real events. It is dedicated to the unprecedented operation “Mehr” to return our compatriots from the combat zone in the Middle East.
International Film Festival of the military-patriotic film “Volokolamsk Frontier” is held annually in Moscow region, in the ancient Russian city of Volokolamsk. This year the film festival was held from 23 to 27 November.
The event was attended by filmmakers from Serbia, Greece, China, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and other countries.
It should be noted that the film “Tutqunlik” received a special jury prize at the festival of Turkic-speaking states “Korkut Ata”, held on November 8-12 in Istanbul.
