The driver, who hit a 5-year-old child to death, detained

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the evening of 12 April, the driver of the Matiz car hit a 5-year-old pedestrian in Shayhantakhur district of Tashkent.

According to the police department, the incident took place in the period from 20.50 to 21.00 hours in Beruniy street of Shayhantahur district. The driver run away from the accident scene.

The child died in the hospital. According to preliminary data, the child left the house without permission and, left unattended, ran across the busy highway.

As a result of operational activities, the driver was detained. A 27-year old man left his car in makhalla near the Kukcha mosque after accident and tried to escape.
