Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Drilling Control Center was launched for the first time in Uzbekistan.
According to Uzbekneftegaz, the introduction of centralized organizational and digital management will reduce the time of drilling wells by 45% and reduce the costs of their construction by 35%.
The construction of each well can now be cheaper by an amount from 4.0 to 10.0 billion soums.
As part of the opening ceremony, a teleconference was established with the Well Construction Control Center in the Russian city of Muravlenko, which provides remote engineering support for drilling processes.
Russian specialists spoke in detail about their work and the results achieved when drilling well No. 326 at the Dengizkul field.
One of the main tasks of the Drilling Control Center is monitoring drilling processes in real time. Thanks to digitalization and remote monitoring systems, specialists will be able to quickly respond to possible breakdowns and accidents.
Data on the main parameters of drilling modes is transmitted from each drilling rig in real time and displayed on the screen in the form of parameters and diagrams.
The center now monitors 24/7 the drilling process of 23 rigs at the Dengizkul, Zevarda, Yangi Tegirmon, Shurtan, Lower Eastern Berdak and Nizhny Surgil fields, located in remote areas of Uzbekistan.
The center’s employees analyze data from drilling sites and develop recommendations to improve the efficiency and safety of the drilling process.
One of the important tasks of the center is training and advanced training of personnel. The center’s employees actively use specialized software to improve their skills.
