Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of the multicultural festival held in the Israeli city of Ramla, the Bukhara House exhibition was held, at which samples of folk-applied art, a national costume and other exhibits related to Uzbek culture were presented, Dunyo reported.
Master classes in Uzbek folk dances, folklore and culinary art, which are an invaluable asset of the peoples of Uzbekistan, were held on the sidelines of the exhibition.
The annual festival “Ramla - City of the World” provides participants with a platform for tasting dishes of various national cuisines, the opportunity to join excursions and master classes, as well as enjoy the culture and live music of people from different countries of the world who now live in this Israeli city.
The Ambassador of Tourism of Uzbekistan in the State of Israel, Hai Davydov, who is also the founder and director of the Handa-Handa Theater (Laughter-Laughter), with the support of the Embassy of our country, the State Committee for the Development of Tourism of Uzbekistan and the municipality of Ramla organized a festival of culture and art "Choykhona".
Opening the event, Hai Davydov thanked the Government of Uzbekistan for the continued support and organization of the visit of Uzbek music groups to Israel, which through their creative performances provide a close connection between the Uzbek people and Bukhara Jews, as well as promote mutual cultural enrichment.
Speaking to the guests, the mayor of Ramla, Michael Vidal, noted the important role of the Diaspora of Bukhara Jews in spreading elements of their cultures and arts in this city, where more than 20 thousand people from Uzbekistan live. Their activities are actively supported by the municipality of the city.
As part of the event, a concert of a creative team from Uzbekistan was held, consisting of soloist Sanat Adilov, as well as musicians and dancers who performed famous Uzbek musical and dance compositions.
Here, a meeting was held with a group of Uzbek citizens working in Israel, who were provided with relevant information about the modern development of the republic, as well as the upcoming important event - the election to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.
