Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov is in Türkiye.

During his stay in Ankara on 8 May, Davron Vahabov met with the Chairman of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) Mustafa Rifat Hisarciklioglu.

At the meeting, issues of developing trade relations and expanding economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye were discussed, as well as the current state of multifaceted bilateral cooperation and prospects for its expansion.

The parties agreed to hold an Uzbek-Turkish business forum and a meeting of the Council of Entrepreneurs this year before the third meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council.

Specific measures were also identified for the implementation of projects in six important areas, such as leather and footwear, furniture, construction, pharmaceuticals, jewelry and glass production, in which our countries cooperate.

At the end of the meeting, large Turkish companies were invited to participate in the international exhibition of leather, footwear, leather products, wool and fur “Uzcharmexpo-Eurasia 2024”, which will be held in Tashkent from 21 to 23 May.
