Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In February, the Banking Supervision Committee of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan held eight meetings, the regulator’s press service reports. During this time, 31 issues were considered.

In February, the Committee considered 18 issues related to registration and permitting issues. In particular, the issues of registering three microfinance organizations and issuing a license to one credit institution were considered.

At the same time, 13 questions related to the financial condition of credit institutions. During the meetings, compliance by banks and payment organizations with the instructions and prudential standards of the Central Bank, as well as the results of inspections in organizations, were discussed.

Three banks were fined for failing to comply with laws and regulations of the Central Bank.

Five credit institutions and the Mortgage Refinancing Company received warnings for the identified violations.
