Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank of Uzbekistan became one of the largest buyers of gold in July 2022. The data is provided in the World Gold Council report.
According to the World Gold Council, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan purchased 9 tons of gold in July, just like in June 2022.
In the first quarter of 2022, according to the World Gold Council, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan sold 25 tons of gold. As a result, the net purchase of gold by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan amounted to 11 tons.
The World Gold Council notes that the gold reserves of Uzbekistan amount to 371 tons, which is 61% of the country’s reserves.
