Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank announced the resumption of the exchange of old banknotes and coins of 50, 100, 200 and 500 soums for new ones.

According to the decision of the Board of the Central Bank from 29 January 2022, the period for replacing insolvent old-style banknotes with valid banknotes through the cash settlement centers of the Central Bank was extended until 1 January 2023. 

In this regard, the regulator informed that all citizens can freely exchange banknotes and coins of the above denominations that have lost solvency at the cash settlement centers of the Central Bank for valid banknotes.
