Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The award ceremony for the winners of the national competition "Students Cup 2024," dedicated to tourism development, was held in Tashkent.

The competition, organized by the Scientific Research Institute for Tourism Development, the Tourism Committee, and the Geographical Society of Uzbekistan, attracted over 150 students from 35 universities across the country.

The winners presented innovative projects in areas such as the digitalization of tourism, the development of domestic and international tourism, modernization of tourist sites, and the implementation of new technologies.

The prizes were presented by S. Niyazov, Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee.

Competition Results:

1st Place: Javlon Rustamov (Samarkand Branch of the Tashkent International Chemical University) — Project: "Exploring Historical Sites and Culture Through Connectivity" (a virtual guide named after Abu Rayhan Beruni) — 5 million soums.

2nd Place: Abdulkodirkhuja Abdullakhujaev (Tashkent State University of Economics) — Project: "Development of International Children’s and Youth Tourism in Uzbekistan" — 3 million soums.

3rd Place: Kseniya Vlasova (Silk Road International University of Tourism in Samarkand) — Project: "Modernization of the National Historical and Cultural Museum of Uzbekistan" — 2 million soums.

In addition to cash prizes, the winners received commemorative gifts.
