Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The balance of allocated mortgage loans in Uzbekistan made up 41.3 trillion soums as of 1 August 2022. This was reported by the press service of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
According to the regulator, in January-July, banks issued mortgage loans in the amount of 7.6 trillion soums, of which 5.5 trillion soums - funds of the Ministry of Finance. The volume of allocated mortgage loans at the expense of banks’ own funds exceeded 1.78 trillion. soums.
In January-July 2022, more than 41.44 thousand people received a mortgage loan.
At the same time, 6.11 trillion. soums (79% of the total) was allocated for the purchase of housing in the primary market and 1.51 trillion. soums (21%) - in the secondary market.
Tashkent (2.32 trillion soums), Ferghana (669.8 billion soums) and Samarkand regions (588.3 billion soums) lead in terms of mortgage loans.
