Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan Gairat Fazilov met with the vice-president of the Vandewiele Group company Thomas Baudouin, Dunyo news agency reported.
The meeting was also attended by the vice-president of the Vandewiele company, Philip Van de Velde, and manager Timur Tefikov.
During the negotiations, an exchange of views took place on the prospects for further increasing cooperation between the Belgian company and carpet weaving enterprises of Uzbekistan. Issues of establishing new mutually beneficial contacts in various areas, based on the areas of the group’s activities, were also discussed.
Vandewiele has been operating in the Uzbekistan market since 2003, supplying carpet weaving and other specialized equipment. To date, more than 300 looms produced by this holding are already operating in the republic. The company has established close relationships with more than 20 active buyers in Samarkand, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Navoi and Tashkent regions. In addition, in 2023, a regional center of the Vandewiele company was opened in Samarkand, which provides not only maintenance services for the supplied equipment, but is also a warehouse of spare parts for machine tools. It also conducts training for specialists from all over the Central Asian region.
