The 22nd Men’s World Championship to be held in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A delegation of Uzbekistan, which took part in the World Boxing Championship for men in Belgrade from 25 October to 6 November, returned to Tashkent.

Domestic masters of leather gloves were met at the Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport. The event was attended by officials of the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, relatives and fans of our athletes.

At the World Championship Abdumalik Khalakov won silver, and Madiyar Saidrakhimov won bronze.

At the closing ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the NOC, First Deputy Chairman of the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan Saken Polatov accepted the flag of the International Boxing Association AIBA as the organizer of the next world championship.

Thus, the 22nd men’s world championship will be held in Tashkent in 2023.
