Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tenge Bank’s net loss for the first quarter of 2024 amounted to 7.3 billion soums, according to the bank’s quarterly reports.
This figure decreased by 76.7% compared to the same period last year, when the loss amounted to 31.2 billion soums.
The bank’s assets increased by 47.2% and reached 6.8 trillion soums. The bank’s capital increased to 1.3 trillion soums, which is 6% more than in January-March 2023.
Interest income reached 222.4 billion soums (an increase of 51.3%), and non-interest income - 55.9 billion soums (an increase of 36.4%).
The bank’s loan portfolio as of March 1 of this year reached 4.0 trillion soums (+48.4%). The share of non-performing loans (NPL) rose from 3.4% to 3.5%, according to Central Bank data.
