Newly appointed Sverker Hannervall familiarized with potential and plans of technical development of Ucell to further strengthen its potential in the market of Uzbekistan.

Sverker Hannervall and Ucell CEO Tõnu Grünberg briefed the journalists to brief them on results of the visit and perspectives of investment activities of TeliaSonera in Uzbekistan.

Sverker Hannervall said that the goal of TeliaSonera in each market, where it works, is to meet requirements of consumers, provide quality and modern communication solutions. He said that assessing technical opportunities of Ucell, TeliaSonera supports its efforts to become leader on quality network in Uzbekistan.

He said that TeliaSonera welcomes intention of Ucell to invest into expansion of 3G network and increase capacity to improve quality of network as a whole. TeliaSonera is a pioneer and leader on introduction of 4G/LTE technologies in Scandinavia and Eurasia and is ready to share its experience, specialists and technical expertise, he said. TeliaSonera CTO said that Ucell has great potential to further development under new CEO Tõnu Grünberg, who has technical education and engineering knowledge.

Tõnu Grünberg said that during this year, the clients could feel improvement of quality mobile services. Coverage of 2G and 3G stations is increasing and coverage level reached over 93% and over 40% population respectively, he said. He said that expansion of 3G coverage and convenient internet packages helped to increase internet traffic twice, while average speed rose by 30%.

He said that providing of quality mobile communication is one of main priorities of the company. He said that the company will further develop its network and provide modern and convenient solutions.
