Tax revenues in Uzbekistan increases by over 20% in 2024

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the results of 2024, tax revenues in Uzbekistan grew by more than 20%, totaling 199.6 trillion soums, as announced by the press service of the Tax Committee.

The increase in revenues was particularly noticeable in the regions, where the growth was 24.4%, and in districts, where it reached 37%.

The highest growth rates were recorded in Tashkent (27%), Syrdarya region (25%), and Tashkent region (23%).

Tax Revenues by Type:

  • Corporate tax: 52.7 trillion soums (+29.1%)
  • VAT: 39.6 trillion soums (+16.4%)
  • Personal income tax (PIT): 35.4 trillion soums (+18.3%)
  • Mineral resource usage tax: 20.2 trillion soums (+31.8%)
  • Excise tax: 17.8 trillion soums (+17.4%)
  • Non-tax revenues: 15 trillion soums (no change)

Additionally, other tax revenues also showed growth in the reporting period:

  • Land tax: 8.2 trillion soums (+19.2%)
  • Property tax: 6.8 trillion soums (+33.5%)
  • Turnover tax: 2.8 trillion soums (+17.6%)
  • Water resource usage tax: 1.2 trillion soums (+48.3%)

The Tax Committee noted that in 2024, 64.5 thousand small businesses were restored, and 134.8 thousand new enterprises were created. The "Autocamera" system allowed voluntary adjustments amounting to 37.9 trillion soums, helping avoid financial penalties totaling 13.8 trillion soums.

To date, all invoices and cash receipts are issued electronically, and VAT reporting has been automated by 93%. In 2024, the turnover through electronic invoices (e-invoices) increased by 17.3% compared to the previous year, and over 1 billion soums’ worth of receipts were issued through online cash registers.

As part of social programs, 10.2 thousand users received subsidies totaling 11.6 billion soums through the "Sunny House" service, and 135.7 thousand users returned VAT amounting to 24.6 billion soums via the "Social Cashback" service.

For 2025, the Tax Committee set a goal to ensure tax revenues at the level of 224 trillion soums.
