Tashkent to host the 1st Forum of Inclusive and Accessible Art

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first forum on inclusive and accessible art in Uzbekistan will be held in the first half of September in Tashkent and will become a new international platform for professional cooperation between leading experts in the inclusive sector, leaders and specialists of social and cultural institutions in Russia and Uzbekistan. The main task of the forum is to discuss and share the best inclusive practices in the field of art for people with disabilities.

The forum schedule includes a professional section of educational events - on 7 and 8 September, there will be seminars and master classes from leading Russian experts on inclusion in various areas, as well as a show case program on 9 and 10 September - open screenings of inclusive performances using sign language , audio commentary in Russian and Uzbek, watching and discussing a film about people with mental disabilities.

The main venue for the professional program will be the Palace of International Forums in Tashkent, while all expert presentations will be accompanied by simultaneous translation in Uzbek.

Performances for a wide family audience in sign language and with audio commentary will be hosted by the Uzbek National Puppet Theater.

To ensure the availability of the event in other cities of Uzbekistan, Internet broadcasts of events of the professional and demonstration program will be organized.

Holding an international forum of this level will be an important step for the development of the competencies of managers and specialists of social institutions in the field of inclusive art and will update the approaches and practices currently used in Uzbekistan.

The forum is organized by the Alisher Usmanov Charitable Foundation "Art, Science and Sport" together with the Fund for the Development of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan.

The program of the forum is being implemented with the participation of the Stremlenie Foundation and the Association of Inclusive Art ASDIISK.
