Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent will host an international fair of handicrafts and technologies.
The fair is being organized in accordance with the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan "On measures to further improve the support system for handicraft activities." This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The participation of artisans from foreign countries - Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Pakistan is expected. International companies such as Novica, Wildberries and Alibaba, as well as local online stores and platforms such as Joyda, CraftmeetsDesign, iHunar are also expected to participate.
The participants of the exhibition will present more than 20 national types of handicrafts, such as embroidery, ceramics, copper, woodcarving, carpet weaving, national fabrics, miniatures.
It is worth noting that guests and participants of the fair will be able to take a direct part in the processes of making clay jugs, weaving silk fabrics, embroidering skullcaps and making baby cribs. There will be an opportunity to purchase unique products of schools of embroidery, pottery, coppersmithing, woodcarving, typical for various regions of Uzbekistan, as well as souvenirs made by Uzbek craftsmen, reflecting the beauty and uniqueness of the country.
In addition, visitors to the fair will have the opportunity to take part in master classes of such well-known masters as Zaur Takhir Mukhammedov, potter Alisher Narzullaev, embroiderer Ahmad Arabov, potter Shokir Akhmadzhanov, weaver Ibragim Sultanov.
The purpose of the fair is to promote the craft potential of Uzbekistan and promote the export of products of local artisans.
