Director of National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi Asad Khodjaev said that the conference, which is held for the second time, will help to boost activities of information-library, educational, archive museum and other organizations to develop and use of electronic information resources.

The event is organized by Committee of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan on information and communication technologies, State Communication, Information and Telecommunication Technologies of Uzbekistan, National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi, Ministry of Culture and Sport, Ministry of Public Education, Ministry of Higher and Secondary Education and others.

Within the conference, foreign and local specialists will review legal framework for information-library activity In Uzbekistan and deliver reports on development of information-library resources in science, education, culture and business, training of specialists.

National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi is one of the largest libraries in Uzbekistan. It has over 6.5 million copies of publications.
