Tashkent team claimed the first place in general team classification. The team won 167 medals, including 108 gold, 35 silver and 24 bronze.

Samarkand region was on the second place. They claimed 21 gold, 30 silver and 28 bronze medals (79 medals).

Andijan region won 59 medals (11 gold, 34 silver and 14 bronze) and finished on the third place in general team classification.

As a tradition, all three teams, which claimed the first three places, received presidential gifts – Damas cars.

At the closing ceremony, it was announced that Ferghana will host next Universiade in 2016.

Some 968 students (643 boys and 325 girls) were selected in the regional stages and they received chance to participate at the "Universiade 2013" sports competitions. Athletes represented Tashkent city, Republic of Karakalpakistan and other regions of Uzbekistan.

They competed on 12 sports : football, basketball, handball, wrestling, the belt wrestling, duo-do, table tennis, tennis, swimming, track and field athletics and chess.
