Namangan region (10.9%), Samarkand region (9.4%), Andijan region (9.3%) and Kashkadarya region (8.2%) followed the Tashkent city.
Lowest rate of GRP growth was observed in Karakalpakstan Republic (4%), Syrdarya region (4%) and Bukhara region (4.6%).
Tashkent city also led on the volume of GRP in monetary terms with 5.712 trillion soums. Tashkent region and Kashkadarya region followed Tashkent with 3.289 trillion soums and 2.612 trillion soums respectively.
Lowest volume of GRP was recorded in Syrdarya region (528.6 billion soums), Jizzakh region (780.3 billion soums) and Karakalpakstan Republic (847.2 billion soums) in the reporting period.
As earlier reported, Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product made up 32.339 trillioni soums in nine months of 2009 or grew by 8% year-on-year.
