The committee said that Uzbekistan started to plant tulip trees at the banks of Anhor channel and some websites interpreted this in a wrong way.
No trees were cut at the banks of Anhor, the committee said. It added that local population had no information on tree cutting.
Digs on land were created by works to plant new tulip trees. The committee said that over 100 digs were prepared to plant trees. The workers covered digs with fertilizers and soil due to delay in delivery of trees.
Tashkent committee on nature protection called media to address corresponding bodies to clarify information before publishing them.
