As reported earlier, number of banking cards, issued by commercial banks into circulation, made up about 11.068 million units as of 1 January 2014.

According to the data of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the commercial banks of Uzbekistan emitted 2.404 million banking plastic cards in Tashkent.

Ferghana region holds the second place with 1.046 million issued banking payment cards, which makes up 9.45% of total number of emitted cards in Uzbekistan.

The banks issued 996,249 cards in Kashkadarya region, which is the third figure in Uzbekistan (9% from total issued cards).

The lowest number of cards were issued in Syrdarya region (321,845 units or 2.91% of total number of issued cards in Uzbekistan), Jizzakh region (366,031 units or 3.31%) and Khorezm region (456,746 units or 4.13%).

Number of largest terminals was installed in Tashkent – 27,332 units (21.08% from total number of installed POS-terminals), Tashkent region – 11,852 units (9.14%), Ferghana region – 11,383 units (8.78%) and Samarkand region – 10,337 units (7.97%).

Tashkent (684 units or 39.47% of installed ATMs and infokiosks), Ferghana region (155 units or 8,94%), Andijan region (123 units or 7.1%) and Samarkand region (120 units or 6.92%) led on number of installed ATMs and infokiosks.
