Tashkent hosts SCO meeting on foreign economic activity

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A session of the commission of senior officials of the ministries and departments of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, responsible for foreign trade economic activities, is taking place in Tashkent on 21-22 October.

The session will agree final reports on implementation of main programmes and plans in trade-economic cooperation within the SCO, on list of measures on further developing project activities for 2012-2016, on implementation of main principles of foundation and operation of the SCO Development Bank and the SCO Development Fund.

The SCO member states will also consider results of the activities of the special working group on main directions of the trade-economic cooperation.

The session is part of preparation to the session of the ministers of the SCO member states, responsible for foreign trade economic activity, which will be held in Tashkent on 23 October.
