Tashkent hosts regional communication activities in the field of communications

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The 15th meeting of the Regional Commonwealth Communication Commission (RCC) on regulating the use of the radio frequency spectrum and satellite orbits, which will end on 31 May, began in Tashkent on 28 May.

The Deputy Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan B. Olmatov addressed the meeting with a welcoming speech.

The Commission will consider topical issues of the use of the radio frequency spectrum, radio technologies in the RCC member countries, the results of the work of its three Working Groups.

At the same time, in the period from 28 to 31 May 2019, meetings of the working groups of the Commission will also take place. RCC events are held with the assistance of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In particular, the 8th meeting of the Working Group on preparation for the Radiocommunication Assembly and the World Radiocommunication Conference 2019 is taking place today. The working group will discuss the preparation of a regional position of the RCC countries on the agenda items of the conference for their protection during its holding.

The work of the 12th meeting of the Working Group on Broadcasting and the 13th meeting of the Working Group on Radio Frequency Spectrum Management has also begun.

At the meetings, the participants will discuss the radio frequency aspects of introducing digital television broadcasting, ensuring satellite-free satellite communications operation, using wireless communication technologies for the machine-to-machine interaction of the IoT system and other issues regarding the conditions and possibilities for the effective use of promising radio technologies and distribution of radio frequencies for them.

Representatives of the Communications Administrations of the RCC member countries, including the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of the RCC Executive Committee and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU spectrum regulators, telecommunications operators (Megafon, MTS, VGTRK, Rostelecom, Kyrgyztelecom), research and design institutes and others competent organization.

Concerning the issues considered at the meetings of the working groups and the RCC Commission, appropriate decisions will be taken for their implementation in the RCC member countries.
