The tournament is organized by Uzbekistan Boxing Federation and Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs of Uzbekistan. Over 150 boxers from Algeria, Philippines, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan will participate at the tournament.

The tournament will allow the boxers to prepare to World Boxing Championship, which will be held in Kazakhstan in October 2013, and improve their skills.

Uzbek boxing school is one of the strongest in the world. Uzbekistan won a gold medal, two silver medals and a bronze medal at the Asian Championship in Amman, Jordan.

At the Summer Universidad in Russia, Uzbekistan boxers won a gold, four silver and three bronze medals.
