Tashkent hosts an exhibition called "My native land, my Karakalpakstan"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The opening of the exhibition "My native land, my Karakalpakstan" took place in the halls of the Fine Arts Gallery of Uzbekistan of the NBU. For the first time in a large retrospective exhibition, the works of several generations of artists of Karakalpakstan, starting from the mid-1950s, are presented.

The exhibition is presented by the State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. I.V. Savitsky and Karakalpak branch of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Fine Arts Gallery of Uzbekistan of the NBU with the support of Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Cultural Heritage Agency under the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The exhibition “My native land, my Karakalpakstan” demonstrates a bright original page in the multi-colored kaleidoscope of Uzbek art. The era of independence gave an additional impetus to the creativity of artists of Uzbekistan, including Karakalpakstan.

The exhibition will show more than 240 works by 58 artists of Karakalpakstan, including the works of artists: K. Saipov, I.V. Savitsky, F.Yu. Madgazin, R.T. Matevosyan, A.M. Kvon, A. Yerimbetov, Zh. Bekanova and others.
