Public Relations Department of Riga City Council said that the sides informed each other on priorities of cities’ development and large projects. The sides also considered issues of developing bilateral relations.

As earlier reported, the delegation of Riga led by chairperson of Riga City Council Nils Usakovs arrived in Tashkent with working visit on 28 July 2010. The delegation include businesses and representatives of Riga administration.

Sandra Yaunzeme, advisor of Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on foreign trade affairs, heads the business delegation.

Along with meeting with Tashkent khokim, the delegation will also hold talks with representatives of Samarkand regional administration.

The delegation members will also visit the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan, Embassy of Latvia in Uzbekistan and other places.
