Tashkent and Primorsky Krai on the path to a new partnership

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  On 21 November, Tashkent Mayor Shavkat Umurzakov met with the Governor of Primorsky Krai, Oleg Kozhemyako, to discuss strengthening interregional ties.

The meeting, attended by Tashkent Deputy Mayors Sharof Rakhmanov and Sanjar Tadjiev, along with other representatives from both sides, focused on developing mutually beneficial cooperation.

Umurzakov emphasized the importance of active dialogue between Tashkent and Russian regions, noting that it strengthens the political will of the two countries' leaders and creates a solid foundation for strategic partnership. He also presented Tashkent's investment potential, highlighting the city's achievements in urban development, infrastructure, education, and tourism. Special attention was given to Toshkent Invest Company and the Yangi Avlod Special Economic Zone project, positioned as a center for innovation and advanced technologies.

Governor Kozhemyako expressed gratitude for the constructive dialogue and outlined key areas for cooperation: sports, culture, education, industry, and youth policy. He particularly highlighted the significance of interregional youth exchanges and technological collaboration, as well as the importance of developing investment cooperation and expanding export-import relations between Tashkent and Primorsky Krai.

The meeting marked a significant milestone in laying the foundation for new joint projects and further strengthening cooperation between the two regions.
