Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Director of the Department for Tourism Development of the city of Tashkent Sanjar Tadjiev met with representatives of the tourism sector of Tajikistan at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Dushanbe.

The meeting was attended by the head of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan F. Izatuloev and representatives of a number of travel companies.

During the talks, the parties exchanged views on the development of tourism relations between the capitals and the implementation of a number of joint projects in this area. In particular, taking into account the reduction of the risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, proposals were made to open a green corridor for citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, to simplify border crossing for buses plying between the two countries.

During the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold a video conference with the participation of travel agencies in the city of Tashkent and the city of Dushanbe.
