Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 April 2024, a resolution was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to introduce market mechanisms in the country’s fuel and energy complex.”
According to the resolution, new prices for fuel and energy resources have been determined, which will change gradually in 2024-2025, and basic standards for monthly consumption of electricity and natural gas have been approved for the population, which will be in effect from 1 May.
Thus, starting from 1 May, electricity prices for consumers of groups I and II remained unchanged - 1000 soums and 900 soums per 1 kW/hour, respectively.
For consoumsers of group III, including residents of multi-storey buildings centrally equipped with electric stoves, the following tariffs are determined based on the volume of monthly consumption:
For other consumers based on monthly consumption:
For consumers of group IV, prices for electricity in groups remained unchanged - 900 soums per 1 kW/hour.
The resolution introduced the following changes to the supply of natural gas:
For all consumers, the payment amount remained unchanged, that is, one cubic meter - 1,500 soums.
For large wholesale consumers and budget organizations, the payment amount also remained unchanged, that is, one cubic meter - 1,800 soums.
The price for household needs of the population is set depending on the season.
Based on monthly consumption in November-February:

The price for one kilogram of liquefied gas sold to the population for domestic needs is set at 1,600 soums.
Starting from 1 June 2024, one cubic meter of natural gas will be supplied to gas filling compressor stations for refueling cars at a price of 1,800 soums.
The resolution outlines prices that will change starting from 1 April 2025. In particular:
Starting from April 2025, for consumers of group I, electricity prices will remain unchanged - 1,000 soums per 1 kW/hour. To consumers of group II, each kilowatt/hour of electricity will be supplied for 1000 soums.
For consumers of group III, including residents of multi-storey buildings centrally equipped with electric stoves and consumers living in dormitories, based on the volume of monthly consumption:
For other consumers based on monthly consumption:
From 1 April next year, consumers of group IV will pay 1,000 soums for each kW/hour of electricity.
Prices for natural gas supplies will change in the following order:
For all consumers, the payment per cubic meter will be 1,800 soums.
One cubic meter of natural gas will be supplied to gas filling compressor stations for refueling cars at a price of 2,500 soums, and heat from power plants and heat from power plants will pay 1,800 soums for each cubic meter of gas.
Prices for natural gas supplied to the population for municipal and domestic needs will change. That is, from 1 April next year, based on monthly consoumsption for November-February, the following tariffs are established:

The price for one kilogram of liquefied gas sold to the population for domestic needs is set at 2,000 soums.
It should be noted that the decree defines the basic norms for monthly consumption of electricity and natural gas by the population, which will come into effect from 1 May 2024.
Thus, the monthly basic rate of electricity consumption will be 200 kW/hour, natural gas in the heating season - 500 cubic meters, in the non-heating season - 100 cubic meters.
In Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region, the heating season includes the months of October-February, in other territories – November-February.
The non-heating season in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region should be considered the months March-September, in other territories the months March-October.
