Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Svetlana Osipova of Uzbekistan’s WT taekwondo team has won a silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

In the final, she lost to her opponent, Althea Loren from France, a former world champion and bronze medalist from the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.

Svetlana Osipova is the first female athlete from Uzbekistan to win an Olympic medal in this sport.

Currently, Uzbekistan’s delegation has a total of 7 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals.
