The agreement was signed within the resolution of the Government of Uzbekistan “On measures on modernization and introduction of energy saving technologies at the drinking water supply and water disposal in Tashkent city” from 25 June 2013. Within the agreement, Grundfos will supply equipment and the Uzbek company will make payments in installments within five years.
Purchased equipment will be installed at water supply networks, pump stations, sewage pump stations in Tashkent city. It is expected that the equipment will save electricity annually.
At the same time, the project will help to improve water supply in Tashkent city, used water disposal, improve safety of water supply and disposal, as well as decrease water loss.
Sufsoz is a largest enterprise in Uzbekistan, which provide water supply and disposal services in Tashkent city and several districts of Tashkent region. It provides drinking water to population, cleans used water and maintains water supply and disposal infrastructure. Each day it supplies 2 million cubic meters of water to population and enterprises.
