At the training, she briefed the participants on long-term experience of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and organization of the project “Race for the Cure” in various countries. The sides exchanged opinion and determined plans for further cooperation, Fund Forum.
During the training, its participants – representatives of National Breast Cancer Association “In the name of Life”, Women’s Council and Fund Forum – discussed issues and plans of expanding scale of the marathon and increasing number of participants.
Donna Sanderson said that Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a global leader on fighting breast cancer and organizes marathons in various countries. This year, Susan G. Komen for the Cure signed an agreement of cooperation with the National Breast Cancer Association “In the name of Life” in Uzbekistan.
She said that the cooperation between two sides will be successful and fruitful as the sides have common goals such as raise awareness on breast cancer, early diagnosis, etc. She added that the sides are planning to hold joint charity marathon in April-May.
Uzbekistan became the first country of Central Asia, which signed the agreement of cooperation with Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the fourteenths country, where the US fund will be partner in organization of marathon.
